Position:
Research and Development Engineer
Salary: 6L to 9.5L CTC (Minimum offered: 5.5L fixed + Bonus)
Location: Gurgaon, India
What are we looking for?: Strong computer science concepts with great programming skills and an exposure to machine learning.
Some computer science we routinely do: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistical parameter estimation and inference, Probability density estimation, Regression/Classification, Program Analysis, Speech Analysis, Non-linear Modelling, etc.


Our Major Products:
AMCAT: India's largest employability test which ensures adaptive, standardised and multi-competency evaluation.
SVAR: An automated spoken English evaluation tool that uses advanced voice synthesis technology and accurately predicts a candidate's scores on pronunciation, fluency, listening & language anticipation and spoken comprehension skills.
The Computer Programming (Coding) module: An automated tool to evaluate coding skills of a candidate. It includes a comprehensive evaluation of the various sub-skills required in computer programming like scores on candidates approach, complexities of the code etc.
AMPI and Situational Judgement Test: An automated personality assessment to measure personality of a candidate and its effect on his/her job performance. SJT also automatically assesses a candidate's judgement skills in various situations.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply For This Position:


1. B.E./B.Tech in any stream (Class of 2009-2013)
2. Have an AMCAT score of E > 500, L > 500, Q > 500, CP > 550 OR Within top 20% in your engineering class OR JEE RANK < 5000 OR AIEEE RANK < 10,000
3. Have a publication in an international conference/journal OR  a project/internship where research work has been done and which is not just a class project  OR in top 5% of an international coding competition.

Our product development requires going in-depth of machine learning (artificial intelligence) algorithms and combine it with various computer science areas such as speech recognition, program analysis, and computational linguistics and embedded systems. The individual will work as a part of the research team at Aspiring Minds in developing solutions to real-world problems using state-of-art machine learning techniques, computer science concepts and statistical assessments. To be able to produce the best in market products, we not only bring theoretical algorithms into the realm of practical application, but more often than not, improve them. As a part of this team, you will understand the kind of problems we are interested in, translate them into computer science problems, read papers to understand the state-of art developments in related areas in academia and industry and cross-apply multiple research findings to develop new products or enhance our current products. On a typical day, you might be spending your time reading a paper, brainstorming ideas with colleagues, coding a new algorithm (we enjoy this the most!) and analysing results or Thinking (with a capital T)!
