Booking of Professional Show Tickets - Saarang 2012 Sales started

Greetings from the Marketing and Sales Team of Saarang 2012!

Saarang 2012, with a host of performances of acclaimed international and national artists is well and nearing. We are happy to inform that the ticket
sales for the various professional shows for students of IITM is set to begin today (6th January) at 2200 hrs. The booking of tickets has been completely automated and you can place your orders at http://sales.saarang.org. The sales will be open till 2200 hrs, 10th January only (Tuesday) due to heavy demand for the tickets.

The rates for the shows are as follows.

a. Choreo Night on the 19th January.

And for the first time, we are introducing lucrative combo offers where on the purchase of tickets across 2 or more shows, sizeable discounts are given.

In order to avoid the hassles of long queues, we have introduced online payment of tickets through Visa/Mastercard Credit Cards and Visa/Mastercard/Maestro Debit Cards.

The following is a step-by-step procedure to book your tickets:

a. Login at http://sales.saarang.org with your respective students' portal (http://students.iitm.ac.in) credentials. Use the "Customer Profile" link on the left to change your details, including passwords.

b. Use the "Saarang 2012 Proshow tickets" to get to the ticket booking page. Each student can at most book 1 discounted and 3 non-discounted tickets.

c. Once the order is given, it will be saved in the "Shopping cart", links to which are given both at the left and right columns of the portal. You can
remove items from your order by clicking on the "Delete" button corresponding to the given item on the "Shopping cart" page. You can also increase the number of tickets booked per show by changing the number corresponding to it and then clicking the "Update" button at the bottom of the "Shopping cart" page.

d. To make the payment, go to the "Shopping cart" page and click on "Proceed to Checkout" at the bottom of the page.

e. You will now be re-directed to a payment gateway where you can use either your Credit or Debit card to make the payment. In case of payments using SBI Maestro Cards, you will not be required to enter a CVV number (a prompt containing the same message will be displayed). Also, in case your card does not bear an expiry rate, you will be requested by the gateway to enter the expiry date as December, 2049.

f. On the payment gateway, Please enter all the details in CAPS.

g. Once the transaction is successful, a message indicating the same will be displayed and you will be redirected to the portal. Also, a mail confirming
your order and payment will be sent to your mail account (as mentioned in the Email ID column of the "Customer profile" page).

h. You will have to exchange a copy of the confirmation mail sent to your account with the actual ticket. The procedure for this will be shortly intimated through another mail.
