About Internshala
Founded by IIT alumni, Internshala aspires to become one stop destination for internships in India. Born in January 2011, in last 1 year Internshala has won many hearts (see testimonials from students & employers), built a brand for itself (15K students follow Internshala on facebook), and is known for a string of innovations that are changing the internship landscape (see Internconnect to get wowed!) in India.
More than the tremendous business potential, what gives Internshala team a kick is the enormity of the challenge ahead of us - to bring a culture of meaningful internships in India and make the world a little better place for the millions of students who helplessly struggle to get an internship.

What you would be working on
- Build a world class technology platform that would drive the innovation in the world of internships and lead the cultural change regarding internships in India (if this sounds a mere lofty statement to you, we should definitely talk once)
- Build and lead a team of fellow engineers
Who are we looking for?
- Someone who is a geek at heart - your love for coding should exceed your love (or hatred) for anything else
- Some who works really hard - there should be at least one example in your life where you exhausted yourself beyond your known limits and still pushed on.
- Someone who is start up material - you know that for every facebook or Google, there were 1000 other ideas that failed. You know that a start up life is a life full of misery, and yet this is the only life you want
- Someone who feels excited by the problem Internshala is solving - to bring a culture of meaningful internships in India and make this world a little better place than we found it
- Someone who is professional enough to deliver on commitments and humble enough to know that learning never stops
- Finally someone, who has no qualms about working out of a 6*8 office in Gurgaon (picture here)
What skills you need to have
- You should know all/some of these technologies like back of your hand - PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JQuery, AJAX
- A prior experience with any of the MVC frameworks (CodeIgniter & Doctrine preferably) will be beneficial
- If you have dabbled into Facebook apps before, or have worked on SEO, or on Wordpress - that's icing on the cake
