Description

Empresario is an open B-Plan competition organised by Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur. Entries, under any stage of development, are eligible to participate. The competition aims at transforming raw ideas into full-fledged business models. If you have a Social, Product or Service based Business idea and an aim to make it something more than just an idea the team invites you to apply for Empresario! Empresario is the annual Business Plan competition organized by Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur. Its for the first time E-Cell is launching a B-Plan competition catering to all fields of ideas single handedly. A total of 1.8 Crore is at stake in the form of prize money as well as funding opportunities from various organisations such as TePP, TIETS and MSME.

Event Details

The event consists of three stages – preliminary submission, shortlisting and mentoring, and a final presentation before a panel of judges. The shortlisted entries will be provided with quality mentorship by our mentor pool through the months of November and December, before the final rounds of the competitions, to be held at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, 2012, at IIT Kharagpur, from 14th-16th January, 2012. Rules: A team may consist of minimum 1 or maximum 5 members. Participating teams will be required to fill up the pdf form available on submissions page and mail it to empresaio@ecell-iitkgp.org. After the first round of submission, selected teams will undergo the mentorship process. The participants are required to make optimum utilization of the mentoring process so as to create an appropriately refined B-Plan. After the mentoring process, the final B-plan will be submitted to the judges via e-mail. The plan will be submitted in a PDF format. The teams will have to be present at IIT Kharagpur for the final round, to present before the judging panel. The submission will be carried out by the event managers after signing the non-disclosure agreement.
