DoMS IIT Madras presents "Samanvay'11" - an annual Bschool fest.

They say that, in the deep dense jungles of western Africa, daily sustenance is a tough battle and it is only the fittest who survive till the end – the scene being not very different in today's business markets. Working on margin improvements, eliminating competitors, optimizing processes etc. – the one who outshines the other lives on to create a legacy.

Keeping this in mind, the theme of Samanvay 2011 - our annual B-School conclave - revolves around the idea of "Corporate Ranneeti" or "Corporate Strategy" which attempts to showcase the complex nuances and intricacies of tomorrow's corporate world to today's young budding managers.

Samanvay'11 will be held from 9th September 2011 – 11th September 2011 in IIT Madras campus. Samanvay'11 shall host numerous events and competitions in the various domains of Finance (FiNNix), Marketing (MarkTacTic), Operations (Dot2Dot), Human Resources Management(Arco baleno), Entrepreneurship (Biz-Barons) and Organizational Strategy (5 Samurai, La Rascasse).
Add to this, plenty of online quizzes, games, guest lectures, panel discussions and above all – Lots of Exciting Prizes to be won!

The Lokpal Bill: An Inter-Collegiate Debate 13th August,2011

DEBATE COMPETITION FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS ON "HOW TO MAKE LOK PAL BILL EFFECTIVE" ?

Nandini Voice For The Deprived, a Chennai based NGO run by a team of engineers and technologists, is organizing a debate competition for college students in Tamil Nadu.

The objective of the competition is provide an opportunity to the college students to give their views on the subject. The highlights of the views expressed by the students would be forwarded to the Lok Sabha Speaker and Rajya Sabha Chairman for their consideration.

College students studying in under graduate and post graduate level can participate in the debate competition and students would be provided six minutes each. They can speak either in English or Tamil.

The debate competition would take place at Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai.

The debate competition at Chennai would take place on 13th August,2011.
