Kshitij, the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur has come a long way since its inception in 2004 in becoming the largest fest of its kind in the whole of Asia. It has been our earnest endeavor to provide a platform to numerous talented students across the world to exhibit their scientific dexterity and managerial acumen and spread the spirit of youth by uniting young minds from various colleges under the banner of science, technology and management. Despite the presence of 3.5 million Social Organizations in our country, a large number of social issues continue to exist. The current circumstances call for visionary, motivated youth to step out of their comfort zones and reignite the mantle that once enlightened the entire nation. Are you one of them?

The grave situation calls the dynamic youth to the forefront, to envisage an era of peace, conducive to the growth and development of the nation. Prayaas, a unique initiative by Kshitij 2012 offers you the platform to voice your visionary ideas on Indian Military and Intelligence Services, thus strengthening our position in the international fraternity.

The IEEE certified technical paper presentation contest, EUREKA, provides you an excellent platform to showcase your scientific advances.

Geotech

Over the years, the source of these springs, Natural Gas has lent itself to utilities more diverse. It finds increasingly important application in meeting the energy demands of the world in the transport and power sector owing to its properties like environmental soundness and efficient combustion. Kshitij 2012 in association with GE introduces the event GeoTech, designed exclusively to obtain technical models for economic oil extraction from these fields from students all across the nation.

ASME SDE

The history of mankind is full of such examples where an invention has revolutionized our lives. Let that be the electric bulb or the modern computers, over time humanity has invented objects and methods for accomplishing complex tasks in a faster, easier and efficient manner. This event provides you with an opportunity to present novel contraptions that you believe can cause a breakthrough in the life of mankind.

It is an open hardware design competition, where we invite original hardware creations from the student community. An ideal platform to bring forth the genius within you and amaze us all by your creations.

Capital Edge

The thing that enables Kshitij rise above every other symposium is the nature and the quality of its problem statements.Capital Edge is a financial case study given by Harvard Business Review (HBR) concerning histories largest deliberate overstated miscalculation leading to bankruptcy of a $104 billion telecommunication company, "WorldCom Group".

Kryotech

American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), in collaboration with Kshitij is presenting a classic event to all engineers and designers styled as Kryotech – a HVAC system design competition. This year's South Asia's largest competition brings a problem statement of providing an industry with a design of a HVAC system. Kryotech is certified by the largest governing body of thermodynamics, ASHRAE.
